Data deletion instructions
For people who use Facebook or Instagram with Howlitzer

This page tells you how to ask Howlitzer to delete the data we received from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Howlitzer is operated by Influensea Inc. Our Privacy Policy gives the full details.
What data we receive from Meta
Howlitzer does not offer sign-in with Facebook. We receive data from Meta only when you connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram account to Conduit. We then receive the access token Meta issues to Conduit for each Page (we store it encrypted), the Page ID and name, the ID and @username of the linked Instagram professional account, the permissions you granted, and the details of the posts you publish through Conduit.
How to ask us to delete it
1. Email us. Write to info@howlitzer.com with the subject "Delete my Meta data", from the email address on your Howlitzer account. Tell us whether you also want us to delete your Howlitzer account. It is free. We will:
- delete Conduit's tokens for your Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts within 7 days;
- delete everything else we received from Meta within 7 days;
- send you a confirmation when it is done.
If you cannot use the email address on your Howlitzer account, tell us the name of your Facebook Page or Instagram account, and we will ask you to confirm who you are before we delete anything.
2. Disconnect in Conduit, or remove Howlitzer from your Facebook account. In Conduit, disconnect the Facebook Page or Instagram account: we delete our copy of its access token at once and, where we can, ask Meta to remove Conduit's access (otherwise Conduit shows you how to remove it in Facebook). Or, in Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings, open Business integrations, find Howlitzer, and choose Remove. Either one stops Howlitzer from receiving new data from Meta for that account. If an Instagram account is connected through the same Facebook Page, disconnect it too. To have the other data we already hold deleted, also email us (option 1).
What deletion does not do
Deleting data from Howlitzer does not delete posts you already published on Facebook or Instagram. Delete them in Facebook or Instagram.
Our security log is not deleted on request. It keeps the IP address and browser details of past sign-ins, and in some entries the username or email address used, for 12 months from each event, also after your other data is deleted. Our Privacy Policy, sections 3 and 6, explains why.
TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest
Conduit does not offer these platforms yet. When it does, the same email route deletes the data we received from them: write to info@howlitzer.com from the email address on your Howlitzer account, and we delete Conduit's tokens and everything else we received from that platform within 7 days, and confirm to you when it is done. You can also remove Howlitzer's access in that platform's own settings. Our Privacy Policy, section 2.3, lists what we receive.
